Dance with the waves, move with the sea. Let the rhythm of the water set your soul free. Christy Ann Martine It is sad to leave Black Point and realize that Mama’s bread is not in your future for but I guess this second stop was not planned either. Weather is coming from the West and we need protection that Black Point does not provide. We head up by Staniel and check out all the mega yachts once again and head into a little cove on the west side of Bell Island in the Exuma Land and Sea Park. This location will also allow us to snorkel the Rocky Dundas. As soon as we drop the anchor a resident ray keeps us daily company. Of course, I need a closer look and the anchor will need checking as well. Into the clear blue water….. I enjoyed my swims with the ray. He came around daily for a visit. This up close view shows you why bottom paint is in our near future……. That will be a video. We watched the sun go down and could see another anchorage near Bell Island. After we arrived and saw the beautiful beach property and house on the hill, we needed to see who owned Bell Island because the caretaker was working hard even after dark getting things ready. Soon we had company more than just in our anchorage. While here we are near the Rocky Dundas and the Sea Aquarium which we swam in back in February when we first crossed over to the Exumas. Remember the steering issue we had. The weather is warmer so we are ready for more snorkeling and exploring in the Exuma Land and Sea Park. Finally, back on board Journey after a long day of exploring and swimming but before we are done, we jump back in to swim with the fish in the Sea Aquarium. They were super friendly this time around….. Right as the weather arrived, we see this boat come in pulling a Jet Ski and anchor as far back as he can with his outboard motors. We quickly met Dennis and found out first he was from North Carolina not far from us and second he has been traveling since Miami through the Bahamas on this boat pulling his jet ski. I am amazed now at what people will do to follow a dream. He is doing it right in the middle of Covid! The weather passed and the double rainbow came. Dee and Dennis decided to take Dennis’ boat out a few miles and see if they could get some fish to bite. They had fun but no fish for dinner. The sun sets on our last night at Bell Island and we are off to Wardwick Wells and to see and swim with our first eagle rays.
