"Many are the plans in the mind of man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." Proverbs 19:21 It is really sad to watch the intro to the video above and know that our dreams are on hold, but we are back in NC after getting the boat settled and bringing my parents back from Florida in the middle of this pandemic. Yes, we did blow out two tires on my parent’s camper coming home!!! Longest Journey ever! Being back early means we are carless so first things first we need a ride and Dee decided why not a mini cooper. Easy to store and pull behind the RV.
Next, haircuts were a must especially for Dee but that was hard with everything closed, but we got him trimmed up. With things closed everywhere we built some fire pits and decided to make some cobblers. We did this several times over the summer months and each time it was melt in your mouth goodness. Dee is great at cooking cobblers over the campfire. I planted and cared for my morning glories. One of my favorite flowers. I can remember my grandmother taking me out to see them in the mornings. Most of all at the campsite we need a deck so Dee and I tried our hand at concrete. Some trees needed to be cut and we had to move our RV so we decided this would be a good time to do the work for the concrete pad. We worked hard to build the form, carry and lay rock to back fill and create the border for our pad. No one will want to hire us for this work, but it works for us. Now we come out on something other than dirt! We enjoyed the final product for the rest of the summer and fall. Next, Jesse was moving into a new apartment. Thankfully in the same building so we headed to the DC area to get her moved. Loving her new little place which since this video is a year old looks even better these days. She decided to move due to Covid because working and living in her studio apartment was a little confining and she just wanted another room. A bedroom! I can’t blame her. WE had lots of puppy visitors over the summer and enjoyed our snuggle time with both Andie and Harley. Dee and I jammed out to local music in the area and enjoyed land time together. I promise we went hiking and it is up in the next video and blog post!
